Naples Metal Art is the artwork of Naples resident and acclaimed local artist Peter Sottong, whose work representing the artistry of the ancient Calusa Indians, including the famous Key Marco Cat, can be found in museum shops, libraries and art leagues all across Southwest Florida. His larger body of work includes award-winning pieces and his latest sculptures of egrets, ibis, snook and other local fauna.
These original pieces are first hand-cast in a proprietary material, then clad in a variety of metals and make beautiful enhancements to lanais, porches and pool areas, as well as interior areas of a home or boat.
Each piece is hand-crafted and signed by the artist, ensuring that your particular piece of Naples Metal Art is a one-of-a-kind original. Discounts are available to retailers, museums and other organizations that require bulk purchases.

My sculptures are artistic renderings primarily created using Hydrocal or wood cores. Hydrocal is a compound similar in looks to plaster but is more durable. Each piece is individually hand-formed and finished, primed, then clad with multiple layers of metals, including silver, bronze, brass, copper and pewter. The pieces are finished with patinas, dyes and / or waxes and sealed with a clear protective lacquer to resist moisture, marring and tarnish. Because the sculptures are hand-crafted, each piece is unique.
